GC: Emperor's Champion, Reynauld

Biography

Reynauld is the current Emperor's Champion of the Gannach Crusade. He was selected as the Crusade's Champion on the eve of it's founding after proving himself in the ranks of the Sword Brethren by slaying the malicious Chaos Sorcerer, Vostok Kolvax, of the Iron Warriors on Styxis Primus during his time under the Styxis Crusade. During the same crusade, the brothers in his squad, helped him to cut his way to the beastly witch, and fell doing so. Reynauld took it upon himself to carve his way to the enemy's warlords in their names, even before he was declared Champion. 

Wargear

Reynauld is equipped with the standard wargear loadout of an Emperor's Champion, equipped in the Armour of Faith while bearing the Black Sword and a standard-issue Bolt Pistol.

Trivia

• Reynauld was originally modelled from a kit-bash of a Primaris Captain and the original Champion model (pictured below) but I opted to use the new dedicated model because it just looks better to me.
  
  
  
  
• During the packing up after the first game I played with his original model painted, my opponent knocked his drink over and soaked the model in beer. The model was fine afterwards (albeit, slightly sticky) and no hard feelings were had. I like to liken it to athletes pouring Gatorade on themselves.
