Howdy! I don't think I can really believe it's been a year since I started doing these monthly updates. Ironically, this is gonna be a rather short one as I actually didn't get up to much painting this month. But, as I said back last may, I would be reporting on whatever I did hobby-wise during the month, regardless of how much or how little I actually accomplished. So let's get into it!
Modelling and Painting
Chaplain Grimaldus
"To the darkness I bring fire. To the ignorant I bring faith. Those who welcome these gifts may live, but I will visit naught but death and eternal damnation on those who refuse them."
Honestly such a fantastic model to paint and I'm super happy with how he turned out! His armour has exactly the right black-blue hue and tint that I try to achieve with my other models but somehow fail to get consistent across my models. He still needs basing and a few transfers here and there but as I hate both those steps and am a lazy bastard I will count him as complete for now.
I still need to paint his little buddies as I plan on running him in a 40K Doubles Tournament next month. But more on that at a later date.
Tyranid Test Scheme
With the latest Imperium Magazine package, I received a handful of Tyranids. While I am yet to think of a backstory and name for my custom hive fleet I intend to give them all a nifty green scheme. I also plan on incorporating aquarium foliage to give them a cool jungle basing.
Final Thoughts
Okay, so I know this was late as hell, not to mention short, but I really didn't get up to much hobbying this month. Trust me, I would have if I could.
I will hopefully be writing next month's Vox from my new place where I should have room for certain other projects. Full details and a potential setup tour will likely be there too, assuming I don't give them their own dedicated post.
I also encourage you, in the mean time, to check out Warzone: Gannach, a collection of custom-written lore I use in an attempt to consolidate my headcanon and incorporate my armies together into a narrative for a bit of fun. Check it out!
Until next time, cya!
Cheers,
Ryan
